Job Title: Senior AI Engineer (Forward Deployed)

Location: 100% Remote (CET +/- 2 hours)

The Role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join us as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE). In this role, you will be embedded seamlessly into a dedicated team within one of our enterprise client organizations. You will act as the bridge between advanced AI capabilities and enterprise-scale applications, architecting and building systems that leverage the latest in artificial intelligence.

As an FDE, you must be comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment while maintaining tight collaboration with your embedded team.

Core Requirements

• Timezone: Must be located within the Central European Timezone (CET) or a maximum difference of +/- 2 hours.

• Expert-Level Python: Python will be your primary programming language; deep proficiency in writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code is required.

• AI & Agentic Systems: Proven experience building with modern AI APIs and Agentic frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Google/Gemini, Anthropic). You should understand how to design systems that utilize LLMs for complex reasoning and automated workflows.

• Exceptional Communication: Strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is essential for technical discussions, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.

• Collaborative Mindset: A strong team player who can easily integrate into a new enterprise culture and work effectively across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience deploying and managing scalable applications in cloud environments, particularly AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Quantum Computing (Bonus): A basic understanding of quantum computing principles. While this role does not currently involve quantum development, Quantastica is actively involved in the quantum space, and this knowledge could open doors for future projects.

Contract Details & Working Conditions

• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (aligned with EU standards).

• Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Weekends and public holidays are strictly free time.

• Contract Type: Independent Contractor (B2B/Freelance).

• Time Off: Currently, this contract does not include paid vacation or paid sick leave, though these benefits may be evaluated for future inclusion.
